Jerome “JYD” Williams Named President of Ice Cube’s New “YOUNG 3” Basketball Program

The weekend is almost here, and we’ve got an exciting announcement to kick it off.

It’s apparent that former NBA star player “Junk Yard Dog” Jerome Williams and triple-threat Ice Cube share the same vision of inspiring more youth to shoot for the… net. We’re thrilled to announce that Global Sports Ambassador Junk Yard Dog is now President of, a BIG3 program which aims to advance 3-on-3 basketball in local communities, and provide more opportunities for more children to enrich their lives with the game of basketball.

Recently rolled out by Ice Cube and Adidas, Young 3 for boys & girls aged 9U- 14U will involve the BIG 3 League’s partnership with Boys and Girls Clubs through the USA hosting 3-on-3 tournaments for kids and Shooting for Peace basketball clinics.

With 3-on-3 basketball respectively becoming a new Olympic sport as of last June, more kids can now not only watch their big league heroes play, but can now play the game themselves, in their city. This also encourages today’s youth to be more active and learn about healthy competition.

Improving young lives with the wonderful game of basketball is something we think everyone can get on board (or should we say, on the ball) with. Let’s make a difference together!
