NBA Summer League - Vegas Day 3

Thoughts on Spurs/Wizards

Devin Robinson scored 24 on 9-18 shooting. But it was his explosiveness that gave the fans a lot to cheer about with multiple high flying jams including a disgusting poster on Lonnie Walker IV. Troy Brown has a good game as well. The Las Vegas native scored 21 and added 12 rebounds. He shot 8-17 from the field and couldn’t find his stroke from 3 as he shot 0-4 from downtown. Thomas Bryant was excellent for the Wiz. He had 20 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists. Bryant was super efficient as he shot 9 of 11, I’d be surprised if the Wizards didn’t extend an offer to him during or after Summer League.

Lonnie Walker IV was fun to watch, the rookie out of Miami scored 14 points, shot 5-13, and drained one three. I loved how aggressive he was on offense and defense, slashing to the basket, picking out his shots, and jumping the passing lanes. He tallied 3 steals and only turned the ball over once.

Three Questions With JP Macura:

What’s your goal at Summer League?
“Just to show that I can come out and compete, play really hard, and help the team win.”

What separates you from other Undrafted Free Agents?
“Just the way I work, work really hard and put the team first.”

As a player who excels at every aspect of the game.. Scoring, Rebounding, Passing, Defense, Hard Work/Effort who’s game best resembles yours?
“I don’t really resemble my game after anybody like that. I just go out and play hard and try to help the team in the best possible way.”
