Future Pros Baltimore Recap on Champions Basketball Network
A Home Court Day with Purpose
On June 27, 2025, Champions Basketball Network proudly supported the Future Pros event hosted by Shooting for Peace at Middle Fitness & Wellness Center (201 Reedbird Ave, Brooklyn, MD). Not NYC Brooklyn—this was Baltimore’s Brooklyn, and over 100 kids showed up ready to learn and play. We had NBA legend Jerome “Junkyard Dog” Williams, former NFL standout Joel Gamble from Chase, Philip Blackwell from the City of Baltimore and from Shooting for Peace operations, Bryan Burrell, who wrapped it all together.
House of Hoops: On-Court Highlights

Jerome “JYD” Williams’s Clinic – JYD walked the kids through footwork, ball handling, and finishing moves. Every kid got real-time attention, learning fundamentals and confidence from a legend.

DJ & Mascot Vibes – The DJ kept energy high, the mascot cheered everyone on, and laughter filled the gym.

Skill Stations – Free-throw shoots, defensive slides, hustle drills—each station pushed kids to improve, move fast, and have fun.
Money Matters with Chase
Inside a side chat space, Joel Gamble broke down financial basics—saving, budgeting, and why every dollar counts. Kids asked smart questions and connected real-life money tips to their everyday lives.
Community Wins

Partnership in Play – Multiple rec centers came together, combining youth, resources, and community energy.

Holistic Development – Blending basketball skills with financial education gives kids tools for success on and off the court.

Strong Turnout – Over 100 young athletes showed up and spoke up—it mattered.
